Commission Programs

FUMC offers nursery care at all services, and graded Sunday School from preschool through high school. Our Sunday School Program, Testament Travels, is for children in grades K-5. This is a rotation model Sunday School program where the children learn one particular Bible lesson and verse over a 5 week period. We incorporate different learning subjects and styles each week so that the children are able to know each story in greater depth and with applicable meaning for their lives. During each “session” the kids rotate to Art in Creation Station, Movies at the Holy Box Office, Games at our Cross Training station, and Storytelling & Drama or Cooking in The Tent. We also begin each morning together with fun and energetic singing. There is a separate Sunday School class for preschoolers age 3-5 and for Middle School and High School students. All classes and Testament Travels are offered from 9:15-10:15 a.m. In the summer, we offer a one-week Vacation Bible School for preschool through fifth grade. For adults, we offer three classes:

Explorers: Explorers class is a diverse group who enjoy discussing many faith-based issues.
Prophets: We study a variety of topics based on the class’ desire. All are welcome, of all ages. We have lots of thoughtful discussion to help us prepare each other to be disciples for life. We also share our concerns and joys with other members of the family of Christ.
Triad: We are an adult class of men and women. We study the Bible and contemporary living as it relates to today’s living. Our teacher is Grace Napier.
