Alleluia Ringers, Connie Long

Connie Long, hails from the Show-Me State of Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Music Education in 1976; Masters in Guidance and Counseling in 1982 from Central Missouri State University, and has done extensive post graduate work in Gifted and Talented Education. With a strong passion in music she has participated in the Greeley Chorale since moving here in 1998. The community has seen her guest conduct the Greeley Philharmonic, The Greeley Chorale, and has now been conducting our Alleluia Ringers of the FUMC Greeley church for the last three years. Her thirteen and half years in Fort Morgan, CO found her starting a community band, singing/conducting a Singer’s Limited group, a Dixieland band, and directing the UMC Chancel Choir for 8 years.
Connie was a longtime counselor within a variety of schools within Northeastern Colorado. She is semi-retired after 33 years as an educator. Within the Rocky Mountain Conference she has been an equalization member to Annual Conference, serves as a Lay Servant speaking/singing in other churches, and sings in our own church choir. As the handbell director, Connie, attempts to work on musical playing, a family caring atmosphere, and an objective of having the group play once a month within the church, as well as play outside the church a couple of times a year. I look forward to Thursday nights in ringing “The Gang” to make music ring!!
